Franklin Friends is a site based child care program offered to our Ben Franklin community.  We are licensed by the Colorado State Department of Human Services to accept children from grades K through 5, and operate under the supervision of the school principal.  Franklin Friends follows the school calendar and also offers a summer camp.

 

Before School: 6:30a.m. – 8:31a.m.

Children are given the opportunity to socialize, play board games, do crafts, and play group games in the gym.

 

After School:  3:13p.m. - 6:00p.m.

Options include – homework club, quiet reading, computer lab, recycling program, a craft, etc.  Time will also be given for recess or gym (depending on weather).  An afternoon snack is also provided

 

Non-student days: 6:30a.m. – 6:00p.m.

Franklin Friends offers a full day program on teacher in-service and conference days.  A field trip is scheduled and the cost is included in the full day fee.  An afternoon snack is also provided.

 

Summer camp: 6:30a.m. – 6:00p.m.

Franklin Friends will be leaving the school premises daily on field trips.  We will be visiting a variety of different places such as the zoo, museums, state parks, theaters, restaurants, recreation centers, etc. The cost of the field trip is included in the full day fee.  An afternoon snack is also provided.
