Kindergarten - Safari in a Box

In this unit, students will examine the skulls of herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores to see how their teeth are adapted for the food that they eat. They will look at animal tracks and match them to the animal that made them. The kindergartners will look at and feel animal pelts and identify which animal it belongs to. They will identify what type of covering animals have such as fur, feathers, scales, or skin.
